“We purchased a villa in Sea Caves, Paphos in August 2007 – a huge attraction of the property was a roof garden with private jacuzzi… This seemed an idyllic dream to us, having a villa in Cyprus, right by the sea with a jacuzzi to relax in and watch the stars twinkling above!
Only for reality to set in and find the jacuzzi wouldn’t work! We visited Cyprus 3 or 4 times over the following year and not once were we able to use the jacuzzi ourselves – the electrics would cut out, it wouldnt’ turn on, problems with the temperature controls, etc… Our neighbour was looking after the property for us, who did everything he could to help, assisting with chasing the developers who sold us the jacuzzi – they of course would pass blame onto their supplier and so on…
After numerous attempts by the developers own electricians and plumbers in Paphos to rectify the problems, eventually the supplier sent their engineers to inspect the jacuzzi and ‘parts’ were sent back
Finally, we thought it was all resolved and we’d be able to make full use of the jacuzzi in February – a month you’d really appreciate it! But no, once again, nothing, we’ve spent a further week in our own villa and still can’t use the jacuzzi.
Even more frustrating, weve disappointed numerous holiday makers and for a period of time had to advertise the property WITHOUT a jacuzzi
The subsequent visit from the engineers presented us with quotes for a new control panel, etc, to the region of 3,000 Euros!!!
At this stage, shocked and very upset at the thought of having to spend a further 3,000 Euros on a jacuzzi which really should have been under some form of warranty, guarantee or cover… We were recommended by our letting agents, Hestia Holidays, to call Nick White of Nicks Maintenance Services, Paphos. Therefore, willing to try anything at this stage, we phoned Nick, explained the situation and he arranged to visit the villa with our neighbour within 48 hours and take a look…
Within 1 hour of being at our villa – Nick rang at first we couldn’t believe it when he confidently said ‘all fixed’… He explained the problem; in simple terms so both me & my wife could understand, told us how he’d repaired the jacuzzi and all within his standard call out fee!
We can’t emphasize enough, our appreciation to Nick and how delighted we were to finally use our own jacuzzi – after nearly 1 year of buying the villa!
Nick, we sincerely thank you for your rapid service, honest & fair charges and we will be sure to use your services again in the future and recommend you to our growing number of friends in Cyprus – you genuinely did save the day, not to mention 3,000 Euros.
Now we do have our dream in Cyprus and are thoroughly enjoy it – we did raise our glasses to ‘Nicks Maintenance Services’ on its first use!”…
